The flameless venting device consists of two parts—an explosion-proof panel and a fire extinguishing module. The explosion-proof panel responds to the rapid increase in deflagration pressure, immediately opening to reduce pressure. When the expanding fireball passes through the open explosion-proof panel, it is intercepted by the fire extinguishing module. The precision stainless steel mesh, supported by a frame, acts as a three-dimensional flame trap, extinguishing the flame to prevent propagation and avoid secondary or multiple explosions. The fire extinguishing module eliminates deflagration flames, reduces the temperature of hot gases, and captures both burning and unburned dust passing through the open explosion-proof panel.
Simultaneously, pressure waves or noise generated by production equipment are significantly reduced. As flames pass through the mesh flame arrestor element, heat exchange occurs between the element and the flame, rapidly cooling the high-temperature flame, releasing pressure and smoke, while also reducing pressure waves or noise generated by the production equipment.

With increasingly stringent environmental inspections, safety has become a major concern. In the past, explosion venting panels were commonly installed on dust collectors to release overpressure caused by dust explosions. However, such installations on indoor equipment are not permitted by safety regulations because they endanger surrounding personnel and equipment. The pressure waves and flames from an explosion could trigger secondary or multiple explosions, posing risks. Therefore, relying solely on explosion-proof panels for dust collectors is unreliable. We recommend using flameless explosion venting + isolation technology (a more economical solution) or suppression + isolation technology to ensure production safety.
